I typically don’t like when people compare two songs and say they sound the same, because most of the time 1) the person isn’t a musician and has no idea what they’re talking about 2) musicians steal from (borrow from? pay homage to?) each other all the time (that’s just how it works) and 3) most of the time the two songs barely sound similar at all.

But this is one of those rare weird things where there’s a simple and popular chord progression (like the 4 chord song) that lends itself to some sort of intuitive melody, that reoccurs among a diverse range of songwriters who probably had no influence on each other. Maybe it’s some sort of musical collective unconscious? Or maybe it’s just the easiest melody to come up with.

With that being said, I think this is the best usage of it (Patrick Duffy lol):
Good work, Buzzfeed.
For the lazy:
destination, future, fate, memory, outsider, false
This actually looks like a fun leisurely activity.
I think he needs his own show just doing this.
I’m cracking up in my office right now. My high school nickname was “Merv,” and I once had a hilariously embarrassing encounter with a girl who lied about her age that all my high school friends would not shut up about.
